7-Eleven to Be Presenting Sponsor of WWE's SummerSlam

STAMFORD, Conn. -- 7-Eleven will serve as presenting sponsor for this year’s SummerSlam, World Wrestling Entertainment's second-largest pay-per-view event, WWE announced. TWIX will be the promotional sponsor, while the National Guard will serve as the presenting sponsor for SummerSlam Axxess, the two-day interactive fan experience that leads up to SummerSlam.

"WWE is pleased to partner with a roster of leading brands to create an unforgettable SummerSlam experience for our fans," said Michelle D. Wilson, chief marketing officer for WWE. "SummerSlam has grown from being more than just an amazing pay-per-view event to a WWE weekend filled with fan activities, retail promotions and community initiatives."

SummerSlam takes place Aug. 14 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. SummerSlam Axxess will precede the main event starting on Aug. 13 at the Nokia Plaza at LA Live. Other participating sponsors include Skittles, Mattel, THQ and Topps.

Fans will be able to take pictures with WWE Superstars and Divas at the TWIX and Skittles photo stations; attend autograph signings and Q&A sessions; visit live matches; and participate in contests. They will also be able to see new WWE action figures at the Mattel Interactive Museum and play THQ's "WWE '12" video game, which officially debuts in November. The WWE will also be promoting its anti-bullying campaign at its "be a STAR" booth.

Tickets for SummerSlam are available at the Staples Center Box Office, ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.
